A CLOSER LOOK

Your workflow.
On your iPad.

Write code, preview your pages, and get a second set of eyes, without leaving your project. Open any screenshot for a closer look.

01 / BUILT FOR REAL WORK

Your project.
Right where it lives.

LeafEdit edits your files right where they live: iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Working Copy, a network share, SFTP/FTP even a USB drive. It doesn’t import them or make copies. Open a folder, and your whole project is there in a clean folder tree. Tap a file, and it opens in a tab with full syntax highlighting for HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Markdown.

Everything a serious editor should have is here:

  • Multiple cursors
  • Code folding and a minimap
  • Autocomplete
  • Find across every file in your project
  • Format Document
  • Snippets that write the boring parts for you
02 / FEELS LIKE A DESKTOP EDITOR

Keyboard.
Touch.
Pencil.

Connect a keyboard and LeafEdit feels right at home. It has a full menu bar with shortcuts and Mac-style selection with the arrow keys. Quick Open jumps to any file in seconds.

No keyboard? An extra key row puts brackets, tags, and symbols at your fingertips. Grab your Apple Pencil and Scribble right into your code.

Run two projects side by side in separate windows. Close the app, and your folder and tabs are waiting exactly where you left them. Even unsaved work survives a crash.

03 / FROM EDIT TO LIVE

All on
your iPad.

Connect any folder to GitHub to see what changed, commit, push, and pull. Add a deploy workflow with one tap, and every push publishes your site automatically through GitHub Actions. It works with any SFTP/FTP host.

04 / AN AI REVIEWER

A second set
of eyes.

Open the AI review panel and get a second set of eyes on your code from Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini. You use your own API key, kept safely in the iPad Keychain. There’s no account to make, no middleman, and no monthly fee from us.

AI review uses your chosen provider and API key. That provider’s usage charges and terms apply.

05 / PREVIEW AS YOU GO

See what
you’re building.

Visual Tab shows your HTML or Markdown as a real page, right next to your code. Images open in their own tab. When you need a hard copy, print or save a file as a PDF.

06 / YOUR FILES STAY YOURS

Your code.
Your control.

LeafEdit runs no servers, keeps no accounts, and does no tracking. Your code stays on your iPad and in the places you already trust.

07 / MADE BY A WEB DEVELOPER

For web
developers.

LeafEdit was designed and built for web developers who need access to files from anywhere. No need to lug your laptop around to work on client sites away from the desk. It’s fast, focused, and made to feel like it belongs on iPad.
